Overview


The Wesleyan Arms apartment complex provides housing for seniors 62 years and older and is sponsored by the United Methodist Church of Red Bank, NJ. Wesleyan Arms provides adaptive computer assistance for seniors living in the facility. This internship gives students the opportunity to teach seniors through the program "It's Never 2Late, Empowering Lives Through Technology" which promotes memory improvement and cognitive rehabilitation.

Duties

  • Use the computer to teach seniors how to use programs such as word, paint, and various computer games to improve cognitive abilities


Requirements

  • Patience for working with the elderly
  • Basic knowledge of computer software
  • Interest and knowledge of Dementia
