Student Feedback

I have had a great experience as an intern with Shoreline Media Marketing. I spent my days joining the team meeting calls where tasks are discussed for the day as well as progress made with clients. I would complete tasks such as documenting the monthly budgets for accounts, completing query searches, adding rules to accounts, and learning more about online marketing every time I completed work for my site. The most enjoyable aspect of interning with Shoreline was how much time and effort went in to providing me with a professional experience. I was never neglected or forgotten about, and my coworkers were always helpful especially my supervisor Molly Nash. Molly always expressed how grateful she was to have an intern and she was always enthusiastic to answer any questions I had and to show me tasks. Although my internship was remote, I enjoyed the online experience. A student who is open to new experiences and isn’t afraid to learn a new realm of work that is so prominent and essential for businesses, would be a perfect fit with Shoreline. One who is willing to work and dedicate their time to learn about a professional setting would be a great fit here. Students who work well with others and are able to communicate well will succeed as an intern at this site.

At Shoreline Media Marketing, I worked with the Client Outreach Specialist to update and organize the current client and incoming client (leads) information such as company name, referral, contact name, phone number, email, locations, URL, notes, and anything additional. I then worked to transfer this information onto the different platforms, such as Hubspot, for each employee to have access. I also went into the Shoreline email and gathered lead request emails and researched their information. I was able to complete gathering logos from company websites for renovation and composing emails for clients to read before and after consults, adhering to Human Resources and moving forward with business. I learned more about Client Outreach and practiced my professional skills in timeliness, speaking, applying psychology, and organization. The most enjoyable aspect was working with a tight knit team who worked well together and was efficient in their work. During COVID, I did not enjoy being remote as I was never in the office. The type of student that would be the best fit for this site is outgoing, creative, organized, and keen on clear communication with employees and clients. If the student is interested in HR or I/O Psychology, this internship is a great fit. I do believe that in order to secure an internship at Shoreline, you need to stay on top of your application and speak with the CEO. As a small company, it is all hands on deck, and the CEO is very busy and receives thousands of emails and calls a day. In order for your application to be seen, you must be persistent. I highly recommend this internship as everyone that works at Shoreline is so kind and I have learned a lot.
