Student Feedback

Shore Neuropsychology and Behavioral Health is a neuropsychology and mental health office

located in both Brick and Red Bank, NJ. They specialized in a diverse range of service from

sports performance injury and psychological evaluations, to family and individual counseling. I,

personally, had spent my days at the office engaged in field research, office duties (such as

patient intakes, copay collection, insurance certification), and assisting administrative staff. I had

learned a tremendous amount about office operations of a private practice and practice many

professional skills such as time management, networking, and perfecting article writing abilities.

I most enjoyed the ability to work closely with the head of practice- Dr. Keane- on their website

and campaigning strategies as well as listening in on her informative speeches. I felt the

downside to the position was just the lack of hands-on behavioral health work i.e. attending a

counseling session or conducting psychological tests, but it must be noted that this opportunity is

very limited and restricted due to privacy policies for patients. The best fitting student for this

position would be an individual interested in pursuing neuropsychological or clinical psychology

career goals. They must demonstrate patience and ability to maintenance a schedule. All in all, a

very rewarding learning experience and I would recommend every psychology student

experience some level of clinical psychology in their internship pursuits so that they may be able

to confirm their interest in it or not!
