Student Feedback
The ways I spent my days at the Ocean Township Police Department, consisted of ride alongs in the parole bureau with different police officers, they went on 911 calls, as well as distribute traffic citations and make arrests. The skills that I practiced were critical thinking, active listening, patience and understand, also learning to work with people of different populations. The most enjoyable was being able to go out in the town and observe what the day to day duties of a police officer. It was great to see all the hard work they do each day. The least enjoyable was to see all the crime and drugs that were in the town and surrounding it. The type of student that would be the perfect fit for this would be a psychology or criminal justice major, who is a hardworking and determined. The student must be able to witness hard times and many different types of people. They must be motivated and have a passion for helping people. This site was very interesting and helpful for my future.
