My days spent at law firm of Chamlin, Rosen, Uliano & Witherington included me

reading and drafting memos on depositions, conducting research into legal cases, observing

police videos, reviewing documents and reports. I attended to the little details that my supervisor

may have not noticed and made his job easier by heavy readings and writing up quick

summaries. At my site, I learned to be more assertive and work more effectively. I also learned

how to pay attention to unusual behavior being exhibited by clients in depositions. My writing

also improved because I had to write more professionally in reports, memos, and summaries. The

most enjoyable thing about this position was attending court and being able to read about all of

the cases my supervisor worked on previously or currently.

I feel the type of student that would be the best for this site is someone that always

aspired of being a lawyer or is on the fence about it. I benefitted from this firm because I was

curious about everything and my supervisor noticed my interest and did his best to give work

that I would learn something from. A student who has the same goals as I did would do well

here. It is all about being invested in the work of the firm to get the best experience. This

internship would not be for someone who has no interest in law but even having the slightest

interest would be better than nothing. For students that do not know where to apply, I would say

to try something that you always wanted to gain exposure to but never have. You will end up

having one of the most memorable internships like I have.
