Student Feedback

Worry Well Collective is a private practice that specializes in neuropsychological and psychological assessments. At this site, one will learn about the different protocols for IQ tests. One will be exposed to different clients and learn to complete behavior observations, understand the diagnostic criteria for both brain and mood disorders from the variety of clients’ and the results of their tests. One will learn how to grade the tests and upload the raw scores into the computer. Interns will improve upon organization skills through organizing protocols, problem solving skills when completing behavioral observations, and flexibility to complete different tasks. The neuropsychological examinations of QEEG and Neurofeedback training, will be exposed to interns. Interns will observe the process of both technological tools and will understand and see different brain waves, as well as the importance of the different parts of the brain .On a day to day basis, I would observe a different IQ test that clients would complete in an average of 6 hour time frame. My supervisor would give the client a variety of IQ tests to target their disorder that they felt they had prior to the session. While I observed this process, I would complete behavior observations on the client while they take the test. I would grade the finished tests and total the raw scores. I would upload the clients’ answers to certain questions into the computer, as well as the raw scores. I would help my supervisor set up for the QEEG’s that took approximately 30 minutes to complete. I would later organize the test and help my supervisor understand the scores through getting the results back from the QEEG and all of the totaled scores from the tests. This was the most rewarding part of the position. Being able to give answers to clients who are struggling about the disorder they were unsure they had, and watching the stress lessen from their faces and bodies makes it rewarding to know you helped someone. Giving the client a certain answer from the neuropsychological examinations, gives certainty for the client to receive the proper treatment to move forward and struggle less in the future. A person who is organized, eager to learn new things, and passionate about psychology and neuropsychology, should look into working at this site. An open minded individual that is confident and isn’t afraid to ask questions would best fit at this site. ~Brielle Trinchera, FA24

At Worrywell, I learned a lot about neuropsychological evaluations. Typically, I would write patient consults, organize documents, observe evaluations, and score evaluations. There was the possibility to observe therapy sessions, but I was unable to do so due to scheduling issues. This site would best fit a student looking to gain experience in the mental health field, and willing to work with children.
