Student Feedback

The Behavioral Health Institute of Monmouth County (BHI) is an excellent internship site for highly motivated students interested in pursuing clinical psychology in graduate programs. My days at BHI included attending group supervision meetings, creating educational social media content, leading mindfulness exercises, and observing case conceptualizations presented by Psy.D. externs. These activities provided hands-on exposure to therapeutic techniques like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness, as well as opportunities to develop communication, research, and creative skills. The most enjoyable aspect of this internship was the collaborative and supportive environment, where I felt encouraged to share insights and learn from experienced professionals! ~ Sunny Decker, FA24
