Overview
2NDFLOOR YOUTH HELPLINE is free telephone helpline to provide support and guidance to individuals (10-24 years old) with their daily concerns and challenges.
Duties
- Apply active listening skills to assist callers
- Staff shelters and assist shelter residents and staff
- Call Center: answering helpline phone calls at the call center
- Outreach: assist and accompany staff with event presentations at schools, the beach, concerts, amusement parks, and attend community festivals.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license
- Submit to background check and fingerprinting
- Participate in an initial interview with the volunteer coordinator
- undergo training
- Responsible, dependable, empathic volunteers needed
